The Guardian of Woodfell

When she was a little girl, Eloise got lost in the woods surrounding her uncle's estate. She survived, but not without a strange experience; one filled with small flames intent on killing her and trees that watched her every move. Most strange of all was the creature who called himself the Guardian, who decided to lead the little girl back home instead of eating her.

Woodfell, the place is called, filled with all manner of magic both beautiful and deadly-but only at night. Once the sun rises, the magic leaves to return with the darkness once again.

Years later, Eloise has put all this behind her. That is, until a boy shows up on her doorstep, claiming to have seen the creatures in the forest - and he wants to see more.

But things have changed since that one night many years ago. Something is very wrong with Woodfell, and Eloise and Thomas must uncover its secrets before it's too late. The only problem is: does Eloise really want to get wrapped up in the forest's magical snares again?
