A war epic between two great polity, the Srivijayan Empire and Medang kingdom in the Malay Archipelago (Nusantara) fighting over regional hegemony.
After King Balaputradewa, the Sailendra's dynasty Maharaja of Srivijaya based in Mataram in the island of Java was ousted by the rising power of the Sanjaya dynasty lead by King Rakai Pikatan, he returned to the island of Sumatra to rule the empire from city of Palembang, the birthplace of Srivijayan Empire.
The event marked the beginning of the great war between the two dynasty that rages on for hundreds of years involving the lineage of both dynasties and other polity in South East Asia, India and China.
