Everything used to be normal, til one day when everything changed. The people of now are cold. My new school was so big and a little bit creepy. My family is supernatural even myself. There's something you have to know about it so I'm telling you my story, you never know if one day you will wake up and will be married to a vampire taking care of your daughter that is also a vampire. That can be real. We are real.

Hoping to shake this human off once and for all, I twisted my body around rapidly with a plan to put my words into action. It all started with the day he walked into class and he was introduced as Zylen. Why was he only noticeable in class but only I could see him on campus? Every sign showed how weird he actually was. Newling
Have you ever thought that vampires existed? When you think of vampires, do garlic and stakes come to mind? Well, vampires do exist, but we are not what you think. Vampires aren't just blood-craving monsters who hunt humans; we are peaceful. We do have sharp fangs, that much is true, but we aren't allergic to garlic; in fact, some of us love it, myself included. We don't burst into flame, or melt in the sunlight, and we definitely do not sparkle in the sun either. As vampires, we live for thousands, and sometimes even hundreds of thousands of years (if a pesky, self-righteous human doesn't drive a stake into our heart first...). I am not young by vampire terms. New and young vampires, are "Newlings". Until a vampire is at least one hundred years old, they can't turn a human into a vampire, and are considered a Newling. But I'm what we call a "Maturling". Maturlings are at least a century old. In vampire years, I'm one hundred, on the dot. Though in human years, I'm about twenty-four. There is a third category of vampires called "Purelings". Purelings are vampires who have always been － well, vampires, － and have never had a single human in their family tree. Purelings, unlike all other vampires, can turn a human at any age. (Imagine being turned into a vampire by a teething toddler... yikes). Like with all cultures, there are things that are forbidden. For vampires, we are not allowed, by any means, to turn a human out of spite, or if they refuse to be one of us, but when feelings surface, they can change things forever...Complete

"Felix, we're moving ," she didn't say it quite like that but it was all I got from that conversation, I was shocked, and who wouldn't this so sudden I felt my whole being freeze up , how could she do this, I thought, I just started my junior year of High School and already a freak there. I already I have a hard time making friends out of people I know, the two only friends I got seemed to have abandoned me, and my mother is thinking of putting me in a new environment with bunch of strangers? Sixteen Year Old Vampire
Never in my life has my mom ever said something so horrible, so disgusting. Never in my sixteen years of living, have I heard something so awful and cruel. When Mom said those five words, I felt like my world was ending, and that my life was over. "You're going to high school." Now, I know what you're thinking. What's so bad about high school?
