The age of Heroes has long since fallen, and the villains won in the end. New York City, once a bastion for hope for the entire world, is a hive of crime, corruption, and greed. The only vigilante that remains is Daredevil, but he's simply not enough to counter it all. Peter Parker came home to find his parents dead, brutally killed by Bullseye for an unknown reason.
