For example the dome they put over the city to "protect" the city. But behind the dome that most people cant even see there is dangerous weather. In this dystopian world, you can see, via hologram, the last time someone cried. There are people who use this to manipulate and antagonize others. Anna is the center of our story. She's a 16 year old girl who has under gone much heartache due to the dystopian setting. She has made a promise to her older brother, Drew, while he was on his death bed, to protect their younger siblings- a promise she hopes she doesn't break. She is very tough, but fear is a constant no matter who you are. In the story, fear is ruling her; the fear that she's failing Drew. If she, her family, and her neighbors were not in this setting, she'd be perfectly happy. But she can't be happy now, not with everything that's going on.

The only way the people can breathe fresh oxygen is by a hole in a hidden room that leads up to the surface. The hole and the room are guarded by burly guards, and only people over the age of eighteen are allowed to leave the underground city to collect resources. Sky dislikes these arrangements, however. She wants to see the world with her own eyes before she reaches the age of eighteen. Her plan works, but a few minutes after she goes outside, she gets kidnapped. Is it safe for Sky to escape and return home? Or does she have to stay trapped forever?
