Abby knew all the rules to the game. She created them of course she would know. It was the matter of the player playing. 

"The moment you think your one step ahead or evening winning, think again. Even if you've cracked the code or solved the equation, there is still more to come. So please don't try to think your ahead, and if your getting things right....lets just say things aren't as they seem. But keep thinking, this is after all a game of thought. A race of minds and psychological reasoning. Lets see how that brain of yours will serve. One main and foremost rule of them all, never let someone change your resolve and trust no one not even yourself, cause if you do the consequences are endless. Now let us play shall we commence game?" 

Number one rule don't trust anyone, not even yourself. You never know what could happen.
