Macyn Moshten is your average introvert fourteen year old. She hates school and loves her friend, Winnie. Although, Ally serves as a problem. Set out to make the less popular suffer, Ally often targets Macyn. 

The more you look at Macyn's life, the more it falls apart. Her mother left her as an infant and never looked back. After her mom left, Macyn's dad seemed to crumble as a result. He soon resorted to drinking and is now the shell of the man he once was. 

The downward spiral that is Macyn's life continues to get worse when she starts to suffer from chronic migraines. They are a pain and she doesn't trust her own father with that information. They are a pain, that is, until Macyn discovers something marvelous; she can read minds.

I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
