So what of it? I don't think it matters where I came from." Galactus replied. "It doesn't. You did what you had to do to survive. But the problem is you made a deal with the devil." John replied. Galactus looked at John with more stoic eyes now. He had done many things in the past and he made many bad decisions. He just wasn't sure what John was referring to so he was silent. John seeing that Galactus was silent and refused to speak said "Black Winter is coming!!" ------------- When a cinephile and an otaku/weeb travels through dimensions and gets a system which can only be described as overpowered but comes with restrictions. At first he was overjoyed with the system but soon realizes that he is in a very dangerous world where his life was at risk all the time. Disclaimer : I am not an economist so I might have done some mistakes in the economics section of the story. If you have suggestions to make it better you can leave in the comments. Warning - The MC won't be OP from the start itself and will grow to a powerful character in due time. The starting feels a bit weird because I am totally new to writing a novel and English is my second language. I don't have an editor so the conversations and descriptions might be little stiff. One day an alien drops down to Earth, unsure about what to do. She travels around the world while trying to complete her geological survey, but will she like it on Earth? The choice is yours!

In the realm of Axos, humans exist with supernatural powers that are the basis of society and technology. Advancements, achievements, having a strong ability and being able to use it efficiently stood as the major symbol of class, with abilities tying into traits like intelligence with research to back it. Thus, the brightest and strongest of each generation were all sent to Avernius, the floating city at the center of the continent close to the core of the realm, the pinnacle of human achievement and an eternal shrine to the constellations, the humans that have transcended mortality through their ability. Of course, there is a deeper meaning in the schools in this magnificent city, as the schools produce tons of successful students every year, with the best being deemed as rankers. The cream of the crop is then put through trials and tests in order to attempt to qualify for the DECK initiative, who's original initiative was to create more constellations but now has a different role to play. As the current year approached, the covenant, a human that had transcended the realm of constellations and maintained the barrier around the realm, died for a mysterious reason. Thus, the graduates of the DECK initiative were gathered and each were put through tests designed to help them ascend into the position. In this story, the characters are all rankers from the four high schools and are attempting to qualify for DECK as they go through the qualification test for the program.

United Terran (UT), an international organization that has been instrumental in the unity of the people of the Earth in the 22nd century, has transferred to the Luminarum, a new world that resembles Earth. The natives of the New World have a vast range of civilizations from the Alternative version of the Roman Empire, Viking nations, Arabic Caliphate, Mongol Empire, Chinese Ming Empire, Japanese Shogunate, Spanish Empire, French Empire, British Empire, Third Reich, Soviet Union, and the United States of America. Unlike Earth, the planet boasts an unknown phenomenon to science: Magic. The native nations, which resemble the alternative civilizations in Earth's history, integrated their technology with magic to improve the quality of their technology. Hugo Van Dijks, the Secretary General of United Terran, is the most powerful leader on Earth to lead his people in the new world. He and the United Terran government, alongside International Consortium Companies, created a "Novus Ordo Project" for the prosperity of the people of United Terran and the natives in the world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy and economic approach, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. "si vis pacem, para bellum," "If you want peace, prepare for the war." What are the policies of the United Terran in the new world? How did they survive in a world infested with magic that defied the science law? What magical wonders will its adventurous citizens find? Can they become a "New World Order" in the new world? Could they improve their technology to advanced space technology with the help of magic? This story is the remake of the same story, "United Terran in New World," with some minor changes. He kissed her forehead before he tucked her in and turned off the light. "Goodnight, angel." --- The world changed overnight. A mysterious system appeared in everyone's minds announcing the detection of a "Breach." Monsters unlike anything humanity had ever seen before began to emerge, immediately ending one-third of the world's population. And that was just in the beginning. Every father wants to be their daughter's hero. It's an unspoken rule written into every man's DNA. But most fathers aren't pitted up against eight legged abominations. Frank was just an ordinary man; no training, no experience, just depression and a four year old. Yet, he was all that stood between Ana and certain death. If that's the way it was, then he couldn't back down. He made a promise, and he would keep it or die trying. Luckily, the world wasn't entirely merciless. This "System" granted humanity a fighting chance: otherworldly gifts and powers that defied the laws of nature. While Frank's gift wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, it did give him power. Power enough to hopefully keep his daughter safe, and punish the monsters that dared threaten her in the first place!

Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.
