Trixie took over Ponyville using an evil amulet. It wouldn't be as bad if the amulet wasn't taking over her mind. Unfortunately, Twilight can't get her tricks to work because Trixie has spent too much time with her amulet to fall for any. 
    
    The kingdom is holding a string of contests to pick 3 lucky ponies. They hope they will be cunning enough to get Trixie to take off the crown before it's too late.
    
    Starlight Glimmer decides to participate.
