She ran.

She ran as far as she could to escape the clutches of those who had imprisoned her.

She had spent a year in captivity.

So why was it that the only thing she could remember were bright green eyes and messy dark hair?

He was damned.

He had turned over to the dark side and betrayed those who loved him for survival. All Pierce Ashford knew was that he deserved nothing but the worst of deaths for his furtive betrayal. So what happens when he meets someone from his past he had long tried to forget?

Is there a shot at redemption, after all?

This is a world where power and dominance stand above anything and everything else. This is a world where you don't want to run around in the dark. This is a world where love is nothing other than a meaningless word used to describe the indescribable feeling of having a Mate. This is a world where wolves are dominant and only the most powerful survive. This is the world Silas, a loner and the first full blooded wolf in history, was born into. The world where she must prove her dominance in order to survive. * * * Unbearable pain erupted through my body, almost instantly. Dizziness made the room swirl unnaturally and darkness threatened to take over. "Up," the Alpha repeated. I tried, but, once again, I was rendered immobile. Another large syringe full of the green and silver mixture was injected into my body. This process repeated, time and time again. My body could not handle it. The room spun in quick, repeating circles as darkness surged, covering everything I saw and felt with a thick, black blanket. I couldn't remember anything. Not who I was. Not where I was. Not who was with me. Not what I was supposed to be doing. But, as I lay there, unconscious, beginning to go insane with pain, I could still hear, still remember, him. I could remember the voice of someone I had met, not that long ago, that already meant the world to me. I could remember the feeling of our wolves connecting, all but the new fifth member of my body, who had led me to this dark, dangerous place. I could remember feeling, for the first time in years, what it felt like to be happy. I could remember his name. Slowly she began reaching her hand towards the animal, feeling compelled to touch it. Would it be as soft as it looked? Did it want her to touch it? The rain continued pelting them, but it felt like its eyes were drawing her into another space, where nothing else mattered. The sudden desire to be closer to this animal was beginning to overtake her mind, especially as her hand neared its head. The whole time the animal only watched her with those large eyes. She imagined it almost asking for her touch. It didn't cross her mind how she knew he'd be soft, or how she even knew the creature was a 'he' to begin with. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened. I was never appreciated for who I was. I was tossed aside and left to rot for a mistake I made many years ago, a mistake that haunted me my entire life. I thought he would be the one to save me, how wrong I was. My story is not an easy one but it is one that shaped me to be the person who I am today. *Extended summary inside* ******** DISCLAIMER... This book was written a while back ago when I was younger and did not understand proper English grammar. It is not the best written book out there but I hope that does not discourage you from reading the book. Although it is not the best, it does have a somewhat decent, yet a little cliche, storyline.
