Its the year 2080, and things have changed. A lot. Not in the technological way that you'd expect, in that area of things it's basically the same. Very few changes have been made.
Humans have finally discovered that they where not alone in the universe, but in the wrong way.
Adrian is a 17 year old girl, and is finishing her last year in high school. Her mother was a genetic researcher and psychiatrist, while her father was a chemical mastermind. They both worked for the government, and eventually presented the best breakthrough they've made..
the cure to cancer.
The long awaited cure was revived well by the head officials, and it was tested immediately.
300 people where tested, but it failed.
Miserably.
300 people turned into a nightmare-ish creature, something even the worst sci-fi movie would even touch on.
These people, along with the rest of the experiment goop, was launched to the Andromeda Galaxy.
The planet it landed on's atmosphere mutated the goop into an alien substance.. controlled by the 300 people they had infected.
Most of the people evacuated.. although people aged 14 - 21 and 65+ where left behind. The rest left to a safer place....
Adrian needs to use everything she has learned in order to survive.... or be turned into a mutant alien.

He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Birthday on The Moon
A coming of age tale that follows Adrian as he is engrossed in his life at home his books. A 12-year-old boy that has not seen the world and wants adventure but does not dare step out the door, instead of spends his time alone, often with his dog and reads a lot. Along came his Grandpa that saw this adventurous spark in him. After setting a challenge for Adrian to prove himself he takes him on his first adventure out of the house and to Moon to help him hunt cheese with Grandpa, along with Woody, their dog. But they are on a race against time, and against nature, to get back home in time for his 13th birthday party as his parents do not fully agree with him stepping outside of the house and going on dangerous adventures. "Travel is for troublemakers" he was always told. It is a mix of Rick and Morty in a sense of character dynamics, different locations and tools used, but without the profanity. As well as a mixture of TinTin and his adventures as well as having a dog as a companion. It is also partially inspired by H.G Wells' 1901 novel 'The First Men in the Moon'. The first novel that I ever started writing. I started it in December 2019 so the title and cover are not finalised and are still in progress. ***This is the first edit after having written the draft, it is a long way from being completed or ready and I will do another revision and add more aspects of the story**Complete

Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are.
