Time has passed since the battle of the Zygotes! It was a day that will be remembered all across the galaxy. On that day the RC Destroyer being led by Captain Mark Phillip went into a battle knowing they wouldn't win. Captain Mark Phillip launched an emp blast towards the Zygote ship. Rendering the ship powerless and therefore killing the Zygotes and there Captain. Much to Captain Mark Phillip's surprise a group of aliens were watching the battle. The Modgnik. They were a superior race of aliens. They approached the captain and assisted in fixing his vessel. The captain recognized the alien from Eggnehenots. To his surprise he thought the race had died off. In time the USFD and the Modgniks formed a alliance and assisted the USFD in forming there first ship that could travel through the Vortex. Allowing the crew to get from any part of the universe in half the time. Captain Mark Phillip was promoted to General. Taking over Vincent Richardson who retired from the USFD. With General Phillips leading the way he could only trust one person to help set up the small crew for the new ship The Vortex. Who will General Phillips order to head up the new ship The Vortex? Follow the crew of the vortex as they travel through space. Not knowing what they will come across around the next corner.

Under investigation, all he and his three men can do is wait, until an admiral appears with new orders, and the recording of a garbled transmission. "Echo-two, Echo-two..." The UES Saturnus is an experimental starship that has just set out on its maiden voyage. An enigmatic race known as the Edra has objected to the Saturnus and its experimental equipment. Earth has ignored their protests. "...this is Zulu-two-three... requesting assistance." Mallory and his men are the only ones close enough to deal with an extremely sensitive situation. "... Saturnus is compromised. Edra commandos are pushing... bridge is... secure. Captain... won't cease experiment... psychosis. Entire crew... affected." There are just two problems.
