It is roughly 13 years after we left Sherlock Holmes and John Watson in their flat, trying to raise a baby girl, Rose, with, of course, Molly and Mrs. Hudson to help. They have done a relatively good job, but have neglected her public education. Thankfully, she could be homeschooled by Mycroft Holmes, and Sherlock, in the most typical things, having mastered the 10th-grade level subjects as a 7-year-old. Along with this thorough schooling, she also received medical teachings from John. She has had an interesting raising, hearing Sherlock read her cases, instead of fairy tales.
Rose has recently been sent to public schooling, starting in the 12th grade, and that is where we start.
