On a night where the sky seemed to be missing stars Lucy Ridge drives home after an exhausting day at work. Before she knows it she's clashing with the car in front of her launching her into the afterlife. She wonders how this could have happened. She was always kind to everyone never conjuring judgement. Never holding up a facade against the world. Lucy's life put to a halt too soon.
If only she hadn't looked at her phone. 
If only her life lasted a bit longer.
Now for some reason she's stuck looking at the aftermath through a two way mirror. Her pain resonating in the way she isn't able to tell her boyfriend, Jamie, it isn't his fault. As a witness to the accident, he called the police to make a report and stopped to aid Aurora. After watching her almost die, literally holding her in his arms as she bled an unhealthy amount, he couldn't shake her. Oliver Davies, hockey superstar, had a crush- which is the last thing he ever wanted. The example of 'love' he received from his parents made him emotionally unavailable and avoidant as hell. So when this beautiful, passionate girl comes into his life in a way that feels like fate, Oliver knows he's in trouble.
