Preview: "Adam, it's 4 in the morning, why are you home so early?" I say wiping my eyes. "I got someone to cover for me at the last second. Do you realize how worried I was? Sarah said you had another one of your episodes, and I come home to this? How did this even happen? What caused you to...." I start to zone out as Adam continues interrogating me. I really do feel sorry for worrying him, but how could I just forget about what happened last night? All I can focus on is the clock standing in the background. Before I know it, the patterns on the clock start to morph into different shapes. Everything becomes fuzzy. I close my eyes to try and stop a headache that begins to form. I lay back into the couch and everything Adam is saying becomes even more muffled. I decided to go back to sleep. About: This is a story about a woman named Anabel who lives with her fiance Adam and her dog Lily. They live with an old grandfather clock that sits at the end of their darkend hallway. This clock is very important to Anabels family but it slowly drives her more and more insane, while Adam is being dragged along for the ride. Read more to find out why this clock is making her go crazy and how it effects her and the people around her.

The second I saw her my skin heated and heart skipped a beat. I knew I had to know who she was. I knew I just needed to be near her. After my horrible marriage I knew getting involved with anyone was the worst thing I could possibly do. The problem was the girl of my dreams was standing right in-front of me partially guarded. She knew my family and knew about my past which should scare me away, but it doesn't it only draws me closer to her. My brother is getting married, I'm the best man, she's the maid of honor. If I screw this up even a little bit everyone is going to have my ass. The second I saw him my mouth went dry. His sculpted arms in that t-shirt covered in ink, my body was telling me to run the other way, to not get involved with this gorgeous dangerous man with a military past. Those gorgeous blue eyes however pulled me in and saw right through every part of me. He's my best friends soon to be brother-in-law, and I have legal custody of a child that isn't mine. Nobody wants to be with a single mom these days, what makes him any different?
