This book is basically about a 18 year old guy named Asher Reed. He lives in California. After a long day of work, he goes to sleep. After a few mins, there was an explosion heard outside his house. Asher woke up and went outside to check. Due to the explosion, 98.1% of people died and he got a hidden talent of flame. He lost his father, unfortunately.
