"Greek tragedies. Everyone's read or listened to at least one, am I right? Usually end with the hero getting to go to the Elysian fields or ending up with eternal damnation. The thing is though, they're usually demi-gods, yeah? What do you think'd happen if the demi-gods weren't so... demi? Like, y'know, if the demi-gods hooked up with a mortal or four and tadaa little not-so-demi gods running around. Add that with crazy segregation issues and kick boxing, you have the ever so loved and coveted Half-bloods. I prefer the term Halfies, but of course, I'm never listened to. The Demis all expect us to sit there with our hands in our laps, training to be good little protectors of Demi kind.
What are we protecting them from, you ask? Mormos, Manticores, Empousi, Vrykolakas, and that's just to name a few. To do all of this, we begin training at the age of seven. Training consists of many types of fighting styles, how to kill certain kinds of monsters, how to at least severely maim the unkillable, and trigonometry, for some reason."

They retire back to the camp to deliver the news. Then something big happens that has everyone confused and one surprised. There two love lives that make the other sad. But the arrival of Steph was the final straw. Steph destroyed their relationship even before it started. But he couldn't shake the feelings out. But then again maybe it's Aphrodite messing with his feelings.
