It was the second time I had attended support group. This time there are two new guys, but one was really staring at me. Like 'I wanna have your babies' look.
He finally introduced himself. "Hello, I'm Alfred. Cancer survivor."
"Lovely," Romulus clapped,"how are you doing today?"
"I am fantastic! I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend!"he answered back happily.

Is the clown the fool of the story, or are you? After all, the clown knows it's an act, but the audience is so lost in it that they tend to forget. Alfred had lived a long life. He'd learned a lot in it. That England was easy to gaslight if you knew what you were doing. France would back away from any show of force. Germany could ignore a bumbling idiot even as the evidence piled up just because he wasn't very good with people. Poland saw everything and read people like a book. Prussia would keep his mouth shut if you gave him enough liquor or made him obedient. Russia would turn a blind eye if you turned one to him. China never trusted anyone even if there was evidence of the contrary. Many things fall. Such as heros. All heros eventually fall. Some because of a villian. But America? No, this hero was falling to something else. Something worst. Something more painful. I'm a girl. A woman. Living with Cancer. And love; for one boy. One man. Joe. This is my journey. Joma. This is me learning to live. I'm depressed but I haven't got depression. There's a difference. In 2010 my dog and my Grandad past away in the same week, my mum past away after suffering a year with brain cancer and I was diagnosed with Leukemia. (getting better after 5 years of treatment.) I now live with my dad in Manchester. Soon to be moving out into my own apartment with my boyfriend Joe, now I'm 23 and have graduated from University! I went to sixth form and then straight to Uni but I dropped out after 2 years finishing when I was 20. After that I helped at a school with sport; as well as that I run my own YouTube channel you may have heard of as DreamingAsEmma. "Are you alright?" I'm at the hospital for my final blood test with Joe "Yeah, I'm not nervous or anything you don't even know how many times I've been here." "Emma Thompson for Doctor Jempson please." A nurse asks. I stand up from my seat and give Joe one last hug before I go down the long corridor into the doctors room. After my appointment is over I shake hands with my doctor for the last time and leave the room. I see Joe still sitting in the waiting room. I walk up to him with a small smile. "How was it?" He says putting his hand around my waist. "Clear." I say leaning in to him. I look at him and he has the biggest cheesiest smile on his face. "I'm clear of blood cancer!" I shout as the whole waiting room looks at me, then starts clapping. I feel myself blushing. I can't believe after five years of having cancer I am finally free! I'm happy now free from cancer, supporting subscribers, soon to be living in my own apartment, and having the best guy to be around. I'm learning to live.
