Ten years later, her exile is brought to an abrupt end when her former best friend appears on her front porch. An elemental killer is once again murdering her friends, and she must return to the scene of her own crimes.
Lake Tahoe proves more than she bargained for. Between a sadistic killer, some clever FBI agents, an annoyingly attractive landlord, and way too many new roommates, she has a pretty full plate. Add in a past she's desperate to escape and her own uncontrollable powers, and Aidan Brook is having a very, very bad month.

Kala had always thought of herself as normal, but when the world ended, cleansed by a power most would fail to understand, she realized she was far from normal. When the elemental world starts to crumble they need someone to help save them out of the darkness that they have entered. Flash forward to many years later when the final action takes place for that savior to be born. Meet Raven Madison. Raven isn't an ordinary girl. From the second she was born she was given a power that could literally save or destroy the world. Due to unfortunate events of her past, her life wasn't the greatest. Right before she was adopted at age ten, she lost all her memories. After the adoption life seemed as normal as possible, besides a few fractured memories of her forgotten past. At the age of seventeen, she now goes by Rae and her only worries are trying to please her parents while also trying to live life the way she wants, forget these recurring nightmares, and survive life at her new school. At her new school, The Academy for the Gifted, Rae is faced with a few challenges by trying to survive high school like any other normal teenager with her two best friends. But in this new school with these new kids and friends, her past is starting to come back and because of it, she has to deal with new problems while also trying to figure out who she really is and the truth behind those fractured memories. -------------------------------------------------------- There is some swearing in this book so you have been warned. This book is also just a draft so sorry if there are any mistakes along the way. Everything in this book is from my imagination and is also copyrighted Book 1 of the Elemental series. Can be read as a stand-alone with some slight cliff hangers that connect it to the second book which takes place two months after this book. The fact that the Black is also a handsome man does not help Claire's case at all. Raven has nothing to do with his family and yet is hostile to Claire upon finding out she's a mage. He worked as a detective to make sure everyone had equal justice but when he got his new partner Claire his world is thrown upside down. Not only is she a mage whom he silently despises but she's also the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. As they work together and find a rocky truce between themselves they travel the city solving crimes with a magical association. The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them. They need Winter to fight with it but how can they do so if they don't know Winter? (It isn't fully edited.
