6 months had passed since the battle with the Zygotes and the HSC Battle Cruiser. The crew of the HSC made it back to Earth safely. The crew disbanded and went about their own ways. USFD had received word that the Zygotes had consumed another ship. With the Zygotes being on a warpath with the USFD they decided to take an extreme action towards the Zygotes. The newly promoted Vincent Richardson had been given the title of Admiral and with his new promotion came a new order of the highest priority, to destroy the Zygotes Mothership. The USFD had finished working on there secret weapon. They managed to keep the separatist involvement out and were ready to launch their weapon.
