"Hey, baby?" I smile cheekily, grabbing Shreyan's attention and the girl beside him. He facepalms and looks at me, "Avyuktha?" "You look handsome, boyfriend." I wink at him and look at the girl beside him. "I'm sorry to say this. He's taken. We have engaged already." She nods pursing her lips and stands up. "All yours," she takes the seat across from Shreyan. I sit beside him and loop my arm around his. "I'm Avyuktha, Shreyan's lover since kindergarten. We are gonna marry soon." I tell her but I don't see any discomfort in him. Even the girl is just enjoying us. To spice up things, I add looking at him, "It's been so long since we have had our time." "Uh-huh?!" he smirks, "Let's go to my house then." Blood rushes to my cheeks. God! How could he just talk to me like this when the girl he is gonna marry is in front of him? I turn to the girl and smile, "He's just being desperate since it's been so long." I lean in front and say something I haven't ever expected to say, "As we are gonna become parents." Her eyes widen and I look at Shreyan. He is looking at me shocked. My plan working. The girl leans in front, "That's great news. How many months?" she asks. I look at Shreyan. He says, "It's three months." Man! he is being comfortable again. I'm gonna embarrass him to death today. No matter what!! I scoot closer and he takes deep breaths looking away, rolling his eyes in slow motion. "Baby, who is she?" "My sister," he says. I nod. "Hi, sister-in-law," she waves at me and looks at my stomach. "How is my niece?" "Your niece is healthy, Riya," Shreyansh winks. "She will be beautiful since her mother is, too." *************************************** Cheerful girl and a broody guy! Whispers of the heart by Hand-picked-star

His heart was a fortress, haunted by the warmth he pushed away, scarred by the silence he forced between them, all because he believed she deserved more than the broken pieces he could offer. And, her heart was a battlefield, bruised by all the words he never said and all the love he refused to show. But no walls are unbreakable, and no heart can stay silent forever. Sooner or later, her war would reach his gates, and maybe, just maybe, he'd let her in. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Set in early 20th-century Delhi, it is the tale of Arnav and Khushi, two childhood companions bound by shared trauma and unspoken affection. As they navigated the complexities of societal expectations and pursued personal ambitions, their profound friendship quietly transformed into a love they dared not acknowledge. Amidst the fear of losing each other forever, they must confronted their feelings and weighed the risks of pursuing a future together, where happiness hung delicately in the balance. It is my first attempt at writing fiction. I might be wrong about certain aspects of that age and era, but it's a fantasy, so why not? I don't own Arnav and Khushi, and this story is purely fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. This story is a submission to the 13th Anniversary Arshi Fiesta 2024, according to the moodboard Historical AU on Tumblr.

"Sshhhhh....." he hushed and pinned us against the wall leaving no space between us. I held onto his biceps with my hand in reflex. He shook his head lightly signalling me not to scream. But did not remove his palm, awaiting confirmation I guessed. I nodded a little locking eyes with him fearfully. I witnessed a glimmer in his eyes and he removed his palm from my mouth slowly. I mustered up a little strength and asked nervously. "Kon hai aap aur yahan kya kar rhe hain," His eyes softened, looking deep into my eyes as if he could see through them as if he owned them. A strong wind surfaced, pulling away the fabric and revealing his face. It was him. My heartbeats raced wildly. He flickered his gaze to my lips for a few seconds, licked his lower lip a little with an unreadable emotion and peered back deeply into my eyes, delving into my soul. He replied in the raw, masculine and resonating voice I had heard months before. "Daksh naam hai hamara. Vivaah karne aaye hai aapse," *** I could not believe my eyes that he was standing right in front of me. The day I walked away from him, with a swarm of butterflies in the depths of my guts and belly, I never considered the possibility of crossing our paths again. I never thought we would get another chance in this life. Was it a wise decision of me to run away back then like that? The moments we shared back then flashed back into my memory. I started wondering if this was a coincidence or if he purposely located me. *** This is the love story of Daksh Pratap Rathore and Radhika Maan Singh. Storyline occurs in early years of 21st century(2001). A love saga bridging the gap between a city-born man and a village-raised girl. They are soulmates longing for love and solace from each other in different parameters. Let us dive into their journey of togetherness, and internal conflicts and see if and how they find solace with each other. First 2 chapters can be descriptive but I'm sure you'll like the story further.
