Fictional story. When you have been a slave all your life, running and looking over your shoulder is not the way anyone wants to live. But when a girl born into slavery thinks her life cannot get any worse she is suddenly thrown into a different life, one where humans are not the worst monsters out there and she has to not only learn how to survive but how to trive. Hello everyone and thank you for contemplating reading my story. Before you start I would just like to state a few things. Although I have written a few books (Okay 3 books including this one) I mainly write to relax. This is the first time that I will be sharing my writing with others and I have a huge fear of rejections so please be kind in your comments. I welcome all comments even constructive criticism but please don't be nasty about it. Also, Yes you will most definitely find spelling and Grammar mistakes, and I'm apologizing in advance as English is not my first language but I decided to write in English with the hope that my story reaches more readers than it would if I wrote it in my home language of Afrikaans. Having said that I really hope you enjoy the story line and read all the way to the end. This story is a fictional fantasy but contains sex, violence, strong language, rape, abuse, slavery, blood, vampires, warewolved and witches, and reference to slavery and sexual abuse. If you're sensitive about these type of things or you find the above mentioned topics offensive than please do not read any further. If you do enjoy this story please read the follow-up called Hunting Aurora. I have done a lot of research on specific time areas and subject matters and tried to incorporate as much factual info as possible even though all characters are fictional. I do not condole any form of abuse, rape or violence. I would like to thank the people who encouraged me to finally take the next step to upload my work.

"Get out," I said in a firm voice, but it shook a bit at the end. The muscles in his jaw tensed when I said that. Instead of getting out, he closed the door and started taking calculative predatory steps toward me. His eyes moved all over my length. My heart started to drum fast. It made me take a step back until my back was flat against the wall. "I said get out," I repeated, trying to sound firm when he was only a step away from me. He stood in front of me with his hands in his pants pocket. "Last time I checked, I still own this place," he said arrogantly in his deep voice, which made me want to sink into the wall. He stood in front of me. "But it's my workplace," I breathed out when he cut an inch of distance between us. His body was not touching me, but my body still twitched as if his calloused hands were moving all over me. I lowered my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself, but my heartbeat raised when I heard steps coming towards us. "Someone is coming. Go from here," I found myself pleading. The steps became louder as if the person were just a few steps away from opening the door. I don't want rumours to be spread here. An evil smile formed on the corner of his lips looking at the distress on my face. "I'm not afraid to be seen with my wife," he said in his deep, low voice, sending shivers down my spine. My eyes snapped towards him in anger. I know he was doing this on purpose because no one here knows we are married. Why is he breaking the deal?

"Listen to me Qurratul Ayn, before you go, I want to know; did I ever offend you? Is my love for you too little?" I can feel his hand hovering over mine. He wants to hold it, but he knows better than to do that. "Please, I don't want to do this now. My flight is in thirty minutes." I can feel the tears wetting my Niqab. "No! I want to know. Where did I go wrong? Was it money? I didn't feed you well? I didn't clothe you? My love wasn't enough for you? I need to know, all those years! You're seriously willing to throw them away like they were nothing?" A sob breaks out but I manage to hide it behind a cough. I take a silent deep breath and turn, my Niqab swaying and making a whip sound. "It's not like, they really were nothing! Look, I don't have it in me to explain myself. You said you'd give me whatever I want? Then leave me be. I never loved you okay! I never did, it was all a sham, a facade!" His hand that was looming over mine falls limp beside him and he staggers back. "You're lying." He laughs. It's as if he's trying to convince himself. I scoff. "You think so? Well take a look at this." His eyes fill with tears and he takes one of his hands and place it on his mouth. He can't believe that it's actually true. "Okay, Fa'iza." My heart breaks. He never calls me that, ever. "I know something is wrong, and wallahi I'm going to find it out and bring you back to my house in six months. I promise." I feel my heart squeeze knowing his promise can never come to pass, ever. Death is nearing me so nothing can be done. Absolutely nothing. * Ten years of loving, doting over each other and marriage, Fa'iza upped and suddenly said she wanted out of the marriage. After months of persuasion and blackmail, Bello let her go, but before she left, he made a promise. Would he be able to fulfill this promise? STARTED: COMPLETED:
