For a century the church did its job erasing them from the minds of men. The creatures, the magic, they became nothing more than tales told to scare children, they became myths, they became legends. Only, they could never erase the disease left behind. The blight, and they could do little to prevent it from destroying the world they sought to the control.
Arthur loved listening to the stories, the myths of the lost isles and his grandfather loved telling them. Then he disappeared, leaving behind the most famous momento of his stories, Captain Rizel's pocket watch. Arthur became obsessed and when his new prodige caught the blight he had no choice but to pursue what he believed was the cause of his grandfather's disappearance, a cure.

Zeph looked up, meeting those mysterious eyes. "What exactly are you?"
"That, I cannot tell you. Your parents made me swear an oath and to my kind, breaking such a promise would mean death. You will know when you're ready. For now, well, it is always good to have something to look forward to."
"You always say that when you don't want to tell me something."
"Forgive me master, wise words from a man I once met. He saved my life."

I had recently finished watching Arcane and in Episode 7 I enjoyed watching the fight between Ekko and Jinx, it was a little bit sad to see two childhood friends fight. And I absolutely love their relationship, so now I'm doing one shots.
