They were hanging limply off the pole, one arm thrown up against it as though that might keep them upright. I grinned to myself. Did Z fall asleep waiting for me?
I finally stepped in front of them- and gasped.
 "Jesus hell," I whispered.
 There was nothing holy about this. The only reason Z's arm was up like that was because their arm had been nailed to the pole.

It was just was of those stupid things that happen. Texting an unknown number. I never guessed who the person on the other end was, or what was going to happen when I finally met them. I never expected any of this.
All I did was text back.
