When Violet Merriweather's mother passed away, the only thing she left for her daughter was the butterfly. Thirteen years later, Violet still promises herself never to let anything--or anyone, especially her father--into the cocoon she's enclosed herself in. Charlie Montgomery has become a master at sheltering his feelings within stories and his love for writing. His reclusive nature forged from an abusive childhood has taught him to drive off anyone who comes near. To these two troubled teenagers, the mysterious new boy from California who instantly tries to befriend them seems nothing but fictitious. But when three very different worlds begin to collide, Violet, Charlie, and Dominic Everett Wilde know their lives will never be the same.

Cursed Purple

22 parts Complete

The government wants Violet. She has qualities about her that normal people do not possess. With striking violet eyes, pale skin that is immune to the sun, and her inability to age normally, she is valuable to them. Violet tries to live as normally as she can, never fully understanding what exactly makes her different. She closes herself off to everyone else but her sick mother. Until one day she meets Jackson Harris. Jack is everything that she isn't. Carefree, outgoing, and brave. She is hesitant to open up to Jack at first, but something about him calms her and allows her to trust him. Just when everything finally seems to be normal, her world is flipped upside down. The government is after Violet and she fears what they will do to her once in their grasp. She is forced to leave her home, and life, behind to save herself. She leaves for answers and the hope of safety. As she discovers more about herself and her abnormality, she realizes that she is much more powerful than she ever thought she was. But can she really stay out the government's grasp? Inspired by the internet rumor of Alexandria's Genesis.
