Es el año 3026; la galaxia gira en paz luego de tormentosos periodos de guerra. Distintas especies coexisten y parece que el apogeo se ha alcanzado finalmente. Una nave espacial mercante recorre los confines de la galaxia cuando misteriosamente desaparece de un día a otro sin dejar rastro alguno.
Todos rápidamente se olvidan de aquella nave; pero también ignoran el secreto y la tripulación que esta esconde. Ahora, los supervivientes deberán intentar volver a casa y sobrevivir a la galaxia términus. Y más importante aún: enfrentar el posible fin de su galaxia y todo lo que conocen.
