"You need to be homeschooled or some shit. F*gg*ts like you don't belong here."

Keiji Wynn was forced to move away from his easy life in Los Angeles after his parents got a divorce and his mom found a job she liked in Detroit. He knew nothing about the city or the people there. He was about to learn and experience a shit ton of new things that would change his life. "I'm screwed."

Kasumi Wynn was born in Detroit but had to move away when she was 15 because she was adopted by Keiji's parents. She knew everything about Detroit and was known by some people as "Karma". She knew it was a bad idea for her mom to move her gay, asian son to a city full of black, hood people but she didn't say anything because she knew she could protect him. "God, I'm so glad to be fucking back."

Malachi McCoy was well known around Detroit. Many liked him, some hated him, several wanted to be him. His life was going great until a short, gay boy was wondering the halls at school and accidentally ran into him. He didn't like gay people. He didn't understand how a male could like another male in a relationship type way. Then why did he find himself wanting to know more about a certain boy? "I ain't no f*gg*t."

Tyrell Jackson grew up in Detroit with Malachi. They were very alike except Malachi didn't sleep around with girls like Tyrell did. Tyrell was literally the definition of a hoe. He fucked bitches left and right but never got in a relationship with any of them. He had a secret that nobody knew and it was getting harder to keep it to himself. "Fuck."

Huxley Harris was born in New York but moved to Detroit when he was 3. He went to the same school as Malachi and Tyrell and even talked to them sometimes. Huxley was an open gay but was respected by many. Occasionally slurs and rude remarks were thrown his way but he could honestly give zero fucks. He quickly became friends with Keiji upon discovering he was also asian and gay in an all black school. "Boohoo whore."

Gangs. A girl. War. Fights. Love. Hate. Death. All words to describe the city of Athens. The most dangerous city in the country. But only those who have been there know that. Athens is not a place for tourism. Not many people who visit, make it out alive. Vicki, 16, has finally found a home willing to adopt her after 6 years of jumping from home to home, family to family, foster to foster. Some were good. Some bad. Some could, would, and did the unthinkable. But now she didnt have to deal with that. But she had no idea of the secrets that the friendly "welcome to Athens" sign hides. Or did she? She wasn't ever supposed to end up in the system. Or end up on her meds. She remembered nothing of her life before 10 years old. She had always knew something was missing, but this? This was more than she could ever handle remembering. **** "Wow, I thought it was just you guys and Artemis." "There's a whole world of gangs. There are gangs in every country, some even I don't know as a leader." "Is it tough being a leader?" "Some times. Especially when I have to deal with loss. But I also give some opportunities to people who need it. I've even given a homeless man a small job and it set him up for life." "That's cool. Are the Zusians tyrants. I mean were they?" something about the name doesn't shake me. It's stuck in my head for some reason. "They more are now. There's speculation that a kid got out safe and will one day take back the leadership, but after seeing the wreckage first hand, I don't think anybody left it alive," he says it. But he doesn't sound like he even believes himself. "Did the kid get out? Is it even slightly possible?" "Between you and me. I helped her escape. I know she got out. But I don't think she lived long after we lost contact. Why do you ask?" "Something about the name... It is vaguely familiar but I don't know why. Maybe it's just my meds." "You might have just heard it before." *** Cover by @_scintillas
