When a new student enrolls in Jenny's school, Jenny knows her days as queen bee are over. After all, she's your typical cheeleader captain with the boyfriend everybody wants, and the new student is your typical shy, quiet, steal-your-boyfriend nerd. So Jenny decides to do the opposite of what movies and books taught her: befriend the nerd. Except, her life isn't a book, and nothing in life goes according to the plot.

Jessica is your everyday not-so-stereotypical nerd. She does not act like regular nerds, who are obsessed with having perfect grades, although she is an A+ student and not very noticeable. She is more like wallpaper than an actual talking human, until she meets the school bad boy. They became immediate enemies (well, after she gets over his good looks). They are forced to spend time together since they both are in many of the same classes and have the same job. But he begins to rub off on her, and she suddenly becomes more confident and courageous. Is this a bad thing? Or is he just a bad influence?
