This book was inspired unfortunately by my personal disease and visits to the hospital. I started writing as early as my disease had happened but hope you like my work. The events that took place in the novel are based on real events but there is a dash of fantasy to them. Please don't be afraid to give me your feedback because I plan on publishing it and I want to know if there is anything I could improve on. Thanks and sorry for the lack of a cover. Inspired by true events, but let me make this clear-this is NOT a documentary. The Sacrificed: Volume 01 is a highly fictionalized version of the Santosh Deshmukh Hatyakaand, a case that still remains under investigation. While I took inspiration from real-life events, this story is built on my interpretations, hypotheses, imaginations, and storytelling instincts. This is my version-not a retelling of actual events. This volume follows the rise and fall of Sarpanch Vikram Shetty, set in Kadampur village, district Vardhanpur. His story begins and ends right here, in Volume 01. There are no sequels, no continuations-just this one standalone tale. Every volume in The Sacrificed explores completely different stories, inspired by true events but with no interconnections between them. You can read each one as a separate standalone novel. I do not claim to tell what really happened. I do not claim this as fact. My job is simply to narrate a story-through my own lens, based on my own perceptions and creative exploration. And most importantly, I want to say this upfront: I do not intend to insult or demean anyone. If anything comes across that way, I sincerely apologize, but that was never my intention. At the end of the day, I'm just a storyteller. And this? This is my story to tell. Read at your own discretion.

(edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.

Your dad cheated on your mom, which made your mom clingy to you. You loved to take even the slightest risk behind her back. So, at around 8 pm when the sun set... you tried to summon a demon. Yeah, not the smartest decision. But it didn't seem to work, so you went to bed and read a book. But at around 12 am, something happened. I might write another book soon, so I need ideas. Although, plz base them around Hazbin Hotel if you can.
