The world as we know it has changed. It was April 14, 2037 when the epidemic first started. Everyone seemed to know but us. Then again, how is the public supposed to know better than to trust their government during a third world war? The war, already in progress for five years, has shown little to no signs of stopping due to the lines drawn. You had the U.S against The Liberated Kingdom, an alliance between most of the European countries and Russia after the improvements made by mankind in the early 2000s. What was meant to be advanced biological warfare, turned into something worse. A blood-born pathogen that turned those we knew into animalistic creatures. They looked human enough to fool one, but they were nonetheless dangerous. Infection spread like wildfire as it plagued the United States, putting the war in a standstill as other countries were soon affected. Our war now may never end, we now fight against the end, against the apocalypse.

MORITURI: Those About to Die by jdsecondine
1 part Complete
Man is born with two fears, and two fears only; the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Then they learn to fear each other, and rightfully so. Morituri follows a paramilitary group of survivors trying to restore order after a biological attack ravaged the US, turning man against man, and causing mass bloodshed across the world. But there's something, some one, in their midst that may be more dangerous to them than the virus itself. Throughout history, civilizations have prophesied of cataclysmic events that would wipe out the races of man. Modern movies and conspiracy theorists have for years warned of an apocalypse on the horizon, be it a war or economic collapse, or a spill of biological waste that contaminates and eradicates the populous. So engrained are we that there IS an apocalypse coming, a term has been devised for those getting ready to protect themselves and their families with any means necessary during this time. Preppers. Follow the preppers. And pray. There is something coming. Where do you fit in to the apocalypse? Are you the reason it's coming? Will it be your mistake? Or are you the one trying to save everyone else when it happens? Could you fight if you had to; could you kill? Look to Morituri. Find yourself in it. Because you're already there. We're all already there... Enter their world if you dare, but take with you your wits and any training you received in the military; you're going to need it. Sometimes being prepared just isn't enough. Good luck and God speed.

The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies, Run! or its characters, nor do I own Dystopia Rising LARP. This is just my Rookie's reaction to the Dystopia Rising New Adventure in the Zombies, Run! App.

The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead. I must get out of the city with any means necessary. Winner of 28 awards including: Unknown Story, Best Cover, Random, Voted King of Action, and Voters Choice
