Erwin Smith is France's richest man but this makes him a target all the more. There are many assassins who are trying to take him down for the money, but none have prevailed. Many have attempted but grew desperate for the man to be killed thus they summoned for the most elite assassin for Erwin's down fall. Levi Ackerman; France's most atrocious assassin known to kill every target he has ever been given. Though he is skilled in every aspect of close and long ranged combat he prefers to kill most of his victims using his sniper thus giving him the name The Eagle.

On the day of his planned assassination, Erwin is surrounded by a crowd of news reporters, an easy open shot for Levi. Right when Levi was about to pull the trigger he saw that Erwin was staring right at him. Levi could feel his heart pounding in his chest and fled the scene without taking his shot.
