On the day of his planned assassination, Erwin is surrounded by a crowd of news reporters, an easy open shot for Levi. Right when Levi was about to pull the trigger he saw that Erwin was staring right at him. Levi could feel his heart pounding in his chest and fled the scene without taking his shot.
