For TayGetsTheGay's "LGBT Challenge".
- - -
There are some people, like Trevor Collins, have known they were gay since they were seven, and they are okay with that. Others, like Mark Anderson, have spent their whole lives with one foot in the closet and have been battling with their identity their whole lives. At 26 years old, Mark still hasn't come out to his parents, and frankly, Trevor's sick of it. He wants Mark to be proud of who he is, and he will do anything to help Mark believe in himself. Naturally, chaos ensues.

When Oliver was in the 7th grade, all the other boys started talking about dating and getting girlfriends. He went along with it, pretending to feel the way they did, when in reality, he felt no such attraction. It wasn't until the summer between 8th and 9th grade that he finally realized he was attracted to the same sex. Now, months into the 9th grade, he's starting to feel strangled by this secret that he has to keep. But with a very religious family, and friends he doesn't know if he can trust, he has nobody to confide in. Between this and being skinnier than all the other guys his age, he's starting to feel outside of it all, and his nerves are starting to get the best of his highschool self. And on top of everything else, he's started feeling differently about a close friend. Seeing one of his best friends, Logan Anderson, in a different capacity. Having lived with a complicated family situation all his life, Logan has learned to manage a lot going on in his life. With his father's bipolar disorder holding a big part of his life, he often stresses about his chances of ending up the same way. Seeing the way his siblings see his father, it's one of Logan's biggest fears to end up the same way. So he represses his depressive thoughts, his minor addiction, and his clear suspicions that the path he's headed down has already been set. Now, halfway through his freshman year, he has yet another thing in his life that he needs to repress. Because now, he can't think about his best friend Oliver without his mind filling with all the wrong things. And he is far from okay with it.
