This the fault in our stars (tfios) fanfiction is a group of "dear diary" entries from Hazel explaining life after Gus. This also includes a rewritten funeral for Augustus. I hope you do take the chance to read these and if you like them please let me know!
I want to give thanks to my beautiful friend Lucy Williams for giving me the idea and inspiration and I would also like to thank the amazingly talented John Green for writing such an emotionally epic love story for thousands of people all over the world to enjoy. John Green is one of my favorite authors and I would seriously like to take the time to thank him for such a beautifully heart wrenchingly, tragic story.

Now it is 2 years later and they have their own daughter named Emily. They love her and are so happy to call her theirs. Now it is 5 years later and Emily is starting to show signs of Lung Cancer. They both knew that this day would most likely come. Once they take her to the doctor, they find out that she does have Lung Cancer. Augustus and Hazel Grace don't know what to do. Emily has 50% chance to live and 50% chance to die. The doctors are basically saying that they really can't do anything for it since it is 50/50 chances but they still will give her treatment. "Ten years ago today was the worst day of my life. On the 17th of November 2007, I lost my best friend in a hit-and-run car accident. It's been a hard ten years, living from day to day with an awful childhood tragedy at the back of my mind, but the years still crawl by agonisingly slowly.
