The citizens of the Outlands live with poverty and many often die. Amadius Wurther joins the fight, not because he wants to face the almighty Imperium, but because there's a promise that his only friend will not join this suicidal conflict. And James Smith, a Lieutenant Colonel of The Imperium, is set on destroying this Rebellion before things get out of hand...

Classic space opera. I am revisiting an old idea I had. ~Tight ensemble of characters amid a hostile environment. In an advanced timeline roughly 1000 years into the future. On the distant planet of Lothal, imperial forces have controlled and oppressed the innocent people of this once quiet planet to fuel their factories. With the noble Jedi Order all but destroyed, there is little hope for the citizens of Lothal to know freedom once again. A small rebel unit, known as The Spectres have arrived to aid the planet and fight the Empire. Amongst this crew is young man by the name of Aurelian fights alongside his friends against tyranny as he begins to awaken his true powers and reshape the galaxy... (You will find a lot of 40k influence in this story, to the point it might be a crossover in some respects. Nothing crazy, so no Space Marines, demons, or the like will show up. Just names, places, and imagery mostly.)

The War of the Future

The future of civilisation has never looked brighter, but in March 2050, a ginormous army of 500,000 people has appeared out of a huge ball of electricity, the size of Manhattan and their leader, General Hunter Padlock, speaks of a world where there are only 1 billion humans left, a world where humanity has fought a 40 year long war with malevolent machines, intent on butchering all humans, a world where humankind is suffering from starvation, desperation, panic and despair. This is the first draft of my new cyberpunk novel, The Electric Archipelago. In the future humanity is imprisoned by massive corporations. Computers are directly connected to their brains, creating a nightmarish state of absolute control, every action is monitored and harshly judged. Perhaps worst of all, the victim's perception of reality itself is controlled. A system of social credit hangs over everyone's heads. If you want to survive you will need to pick a company and stay loyal to that brand. But it goes beyond that, because each corporation has been infiltrated and taken over by forces that are interested in more than just profit. John is a Skinwalker, a free man, a man who is immune to these restrictions. Fractured realities: The Depths of Arrogance
It didn't take long for humanity to completely destroy the surface. It also didn't take long for them to build their underground world, but the sudden change of habitat caused several changes in the way humans function. It's hard to say who's human and who's a completely different creature; a consequence of their arrogance. Some developed better sight, others developed a better sense of strength, the list goes on, but one thing is sure. The leaders of the underground are lying. Things need to change. Many of few have realized the truth. They are the rebellion and they need help from the one person that has any chance of ending this all. They must find the one who knows how to save their world. The underground knows they're here, so why haven't they put a stop to it?
