The first time I tried it, I didn't know what to expect. It came as a shock for the most part. Never would I ever think that it would be Will to be the influencer. Sure, I figured I would try it at some point, but I always figured it would be someone on the not so careful side.

That being said, the title obviously comes from the Panic! at the Disco song, High Hopes. If you haven't listened to Pray For The Wicked, I highly recommend.

The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride.
