What if you had a twin who stole the spotlight in everything? Who got everything before you did? Who was an angel to everyone's eyes but yours?

Ciara Evans had always been the shadow twin, living in the small unwritten pieces of her twin sister Dakota. Problem was that everything Ciara wanted, Dakota got to first. Dakota was perfect. She was the captain of the cheer team, had all the friends, and just talking to her made you feel like you were on top.

But when the school's beloved queen goes missing, Ciara takes the opportunity to take Dakota's place as school queen. She finally gets the life she wanted. Soon Ciara gets caught up in the glam life, forgetting her true best friend Aaron and the life she once had.

And to top it all off, her sister's disappearance keeps sending her nightmares. Not being able to sleep at night is still a problem for her. As the days go by, Ciara gets even more twisted in a web of lies, making her a number one suspect and victim in Dakota's disappearance.
