Madison and Marcus Grove's parents died when Madison was only 15 years old. Marcus, being 22, comes home after graduating college to be Madison's guardian until she turns 18 and graduates high school. A week after Madison's 17th birthday, she collapses in the middle of class and is rushed to the hospital. It is there she finds out she has stage 2 leukemia. Unable to pay for her treatment, Marcus goes AWOL, and is suspected to be off doing illegal things to earn the money.

While in the hospital, a strange man by the name of Banks approaches her, claiming to have been a friend of her father's when he was still alive. Being deceived into trusting him, Madison accepts a job offer from him without really knowing what was happening.

This starts Madison's journey as the "prostitute" who lures men to secluded locations so that Banks - now revealed to be a paid hitman - can do his job. Madison is absolutely not on board, but can't refuse after Banks offers to pay for her cancer treatments.

She goes to school like normal every day, except by night she is White Lily; an adulterer's worst nightmare.
