This is a superhero story, but not as you know it. This one has a twist.
One question that is always asked is, "If you could have a superpower, what would it be?" We all assume so many things when asked this question. We assume we'd actually get the ability to choose a superpower. If you think about it, none of the mainstream superheroes got to choose their powers; they just adapted their lifestyles to the power. This is where the twist comes in. Drew Tuller, 17, gets the chance to choose what superpower he wants. He gets to test out 33 different superpowers and gets to keep one in the end. He goes on his journey of attaining a power with his three best friends, Dirk, Brady, and Rachel. Join them, if you're brave enough. Be careful, though - in searching for something new, you might lose old things that are most precious to you.

The tales of the teenager, Maximillian Hunter, as he traverses through high school and battles evil villains, his teen angst, and himself. This original story draws inspiration from my childhood and teenage experiences. It also draws inspiration from media I'd enjoyed when I was younger. This is Chapter 1. The Beginning. On his first day in his new school, fifteen year old Maximillian Hunter finds out that he's not as alone as he'd earlier thought. However, darkness lurks in every corner. *** Maximillian Hunter, the son of the famous ex-actress Julianne Hunter, has a simple problem. High school. The problem being that this teenage boy, for varying reasons, just can't seem to stay put in one school. I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Luke Sky lives on Earth, where people had long forgotten about the great war and gifted humans. He receives a letter inviting him to Trabachi. There he discovers that what he once thought was impossible was actually possible. He finds out that not only does he have awesome super powers, but he is the chosen hero the entire kingdom has been waiting for. I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. I also didn't think about being a superhero and rescuing the world from the bad. The only thing I want is to be left alone and get over with my last year of high school.
