In this feminist short story set in the 70s, Lisa George, a progressive freelance journalist, becomes the first woman to write for a New York newspaper. During her time on the paper, Lisa is forced to curve her politics. However, when a case of misogyny and abuse manifests itself in her own life, she cannot help but advocate.
The story explores issues from the MeToo movement in an earlier decade where outcomes for victims were bleak. Mental health and societal ignorance are also prominent themes of this intense drama.

Being a Journalist has it perks. It's perks that Olanma has enjoyed for the greater part of her career. Coupled with being the daughter of an amicable politician and a lecturer, her life was amazing. . Till cracks began to form in her perfect world. . When her fiance slips into a coma a week to their wedding, Olanma in thrown into a state of grief and hopefulness. But soon a month gush by and she is forced to get back on track on with her life as she waits her fiance awaking. But the first day of resumption at her place of work has a lot in store for her, but out of all what she hadn't expect was to meet a tall tattooed man in her fiance ward claimed to be is an acquaintance. Things happens so fast and before she could process it, the popular journalist is thrown into an underground world of corruption, secrecy, white lies, politics, deception and anti-government organizations. Placed with minimum choices, she is left to choose between the lives of persons she loves the most or herself. There was only one option Her simple or more like, lavish life was turned upside down with a choice of her own and now into a game of survival. Olanma life changed, and she is forced to adapt to fit into this new world. Being a journalist has always been her dream, finding the truth deep within every fraction. But things change when she becomes the secrets that needs hidding. How contradictory. The curiousity of man can be the rise of a kingdom or the very doom of nations. In the year 2258, society is virtually perfect. Gender and racial inequality is nonexistent, and most of the problems we currently face have been wiped off the face of the earth. Ellie Maisie Rosenthal is a workaholic defense attorney who has befriended a few people in politics and has a very stable life. But she would soon come to learn that the world wasn't perfect. When a white male supremacist movement takes over and stages an international coup, Ellie Maisie and her friends are put in a training facility so they can adjust to this new society, sacrificing mental, emotional, and physical health. It becomes clear that gender inequality is an issue that won't easily go away, and she doesn't know how she will get out of this alive. This is my first novel, go easy on me, but I'm proud of it.
