Alaska is a frigid and desolate place to some. To others it holds beauty and power in its lands. Some go to leave everything behind, and some seek to find themselves. Everyone who explores the harsh terrain has one thing in common. They all long for warmth while encapsulated in the natural elements. Most want a heat on their skin, but others search to start a fire inside, a flame they long thought burnt out. 

Mason Brooks has been a rescue searcher in Alaska for the past 7 years. He is as much a part of the place as the natives. He's good at maneuvering the remote mountains, but he's consequently just as stone cold on the inside as the outside he navigates so well. Occasionally, he guides lost tourists looking for a good place to watch the Northern lights. Other times, he has to retrieve a preppy college kid that has gotten trapped on their ski trip. 

Tommy Breckenridge, a college kid from California is ushered on a ski trip by his friends to help him recover from the accidental death of his younger sister, 6 months ago while Tommy was driving. As he goes through a storm of emotions inside he falls into a cave and must be rescued by Mason. Can they both possibly find hope in each other in the depths of Alaska.
