After hearing of her mother's car accident, Willow's life falls apart. She has to watch her mother's casket be lowered into the ground and then watch her father shut out the world from himself. Also having to deal with the constant struggles of being a high school student, she has to deal with people who don't get their way. With her father out of the picture, she turns to the only other people on the planet that care for her as much as her parents did. With the help of his parents, Elijah Reed keeps Willow's mother's memory alive by telling Willow about her mother and father's love story. Not only to help her move on but to help her realize that love comes in the most unexpected places. That place is waiting right in front of her. 
      
    Elijah Reed watched the person that he loved, which just happens to be his best friend, crumble before his eyes. He watched the person that was the happiest, brightest person become someone who asked why they weren't the one who died that day. Maybe one day, he will be the one who saves her from herself. Maybe one day, she will love him as he loves her. Maybe one day, he will watch the light come back into Willow's eyes. Maybe just maybe...
