Connor has had a rough go at things. He had cancer, has spent the majority of his teenage years in his room listening to music, and resents his mom for getting hooked on drugs. He is suspicious of everyone and often wonders why anyone would do things for him. He finds himself in a pit of self pity and loneliness, until he is driven out of his house by his sweet, but overbearing stepmother. He meets a girl named Edyn, who, in spite of his obvious handicap, doesn't bother with treating him any different. Along with his gay best friend Les and her twin brother Jordyn, he finds out that sacrifices, are often met with selfless intents. He finds a true friend in Jordyn, one he didn't know he needed. Jordyn is going through tough times of his own and finds redemption, when he thought he was lost. This story is about new love, new friendship, hard times, and finding away to fight through depression, even when you've hit rock bottom.

But, after Sammi gets a football player to put a cockroach in Emma's hair in class, Emma runs out to leave. She then runs into James, who Offers to give her a ride home. He then tells her he fiund out it was Sammi who started the rumor. And to make it up to her, he brings her to see her favorite series, 'Raven-Man' at the Drive-in theatre.
