Somebody's Person: Adventures In Daycare, Divorce, and Sobriety

Hello and welcome to sneak peaks of my memoir! This memoir is already represented by my fabulous literary agent, Paul Levine, so I am not able to share in its entirety. However, I am able to share a few chapters! I look forward to connecting with other readers and writers.

Many people have told me that my writing reminds them of Glennon Doyle's writing. In many ways, my story is similar to her bestseller, Love Warrior. I set out to write a sitcom-style memoir about the day-to-day life of owning and operating a large daycare center. Let me tell you, the drama of having thirty female employees who all cycle at the same damn time is no joke. This daycare life I live could easily be a TV series-like an amped up version of The Office. As I wrote, I was surprised to find this piece evolve into a work far more vulnerable than I had anticipated. Yes, it is funny. But not only is this book about being a mom and successful business owner and trying (and failing) to keep all of the balls in the air-it is a story about my marriage unraveling and learning to live life sober. It is funny, it is raw, it is my life. If you will have me, I would love to let you in.
