It's something he's always taken into consideration when it comes to Midoriya. Whenever something matters a lot to him, and he's talking about it, his voice grows quiet. Silent, almost. It just shows how badly he cares about it, taking extreme care into not turning a secret into something everyone knows of. And maybe that's one of the many reasons Todoroki even asked him to help him with this lie. Besides Kirishima requesting it not even a minute before he showed up, of course.
"You won't." Todoroki says half heartedly. He isn't sure, obviously. This whole thing could go either incredibly well or horribly wrong, but he trusts Midoriya. "Will you help me?"
Midoriya simply sighs. "I hope this turns out well.."
In a moment of anger, Todoroki Shouto ends up making a deal with his father. He would have to bring home a boyfriend to spend summer break with, or else he'd be forced to engage in quirk marriage. It is not a surprise to anyone in 2-A (or rather the few that know of the incident) that Midoriya Izuku is the one Todoroki seeks out for help.

"I know ok?!" - Izuku screams, he never screams. Shōto flinches and fights the instinct to cover his ears as he stays put with his back against the bedroom door. Fuyumi frowns with the headphones in her hands, ready to place them over his ears, but for once Shōto wants to know. "He's not special! He's just-" - the sentence stops, Inko warns him to stop as it often happens and somehow Shōto wishes Izuku wouldn't stop. He needs to hear it, he needs someone to say that word. "I'm your son, you birthed me, and still I'm never a priority..." - Izuku says and his voice breaks. It's quieter this time. Shōto opens the door and takes a tentative step outside, not really knowing why: maybe to confront Inko, or maybe to comfort Izuku. The entrance door slams and he's faced with only Inko.
