Valerie thought that maybe the summer of 1985 was going to be calm and she would just be a normal teen. Steve had gotten a job at Scoops Ahoy! whereas Valerie had gotten one Burger King which meant her days were spent asking if customers wanted fries with their already huge meal.
It was going to be a relaxed summer spent in Steve's pool and joking around with her brother. But the Upside Down wasn't done with them. Valerie was unsure if it ever would be.
