This story is held after the events of my Simarkus story called 'Compatibility'. I recommend you read the last chapter (shameless self promo) if you want to understand what's currently happening. But if you truly don't want to read it, I'll give you a small recap:
Basically, the little bitch Zlatko is back and Connor, Hank, Markus, Simon, Nines and Gavin all go together to investigate his mansion and arrest him. Although they all thought it would be easy.(rip) Long story short, the RK900 model that Gavin had at that point had already been with him for a couple days. He was just starting to warm up to it a lil bit. But then Nines takes a bullet for him. The wound ends up being devastating and the Nines shuts down, but Cyberlife decided to assign another RK900 model to the precinct since it was so new. The only problem is that it would come with its memory wiped. Meaning there is no memory of Gavin or anything that happened prior to this story.
Hopefully that makes some sense OwO

It's almost a year, that the androids started a revolution and got stopped by the RK800-model. Most of the old models got destroyed and replaced with newer models in hope, that the disaster wouldn't happen ever again. After the great success of the RK800, Cyberlife published the new advanced model, claiming, that this is the perfect machine detective in all times -RK900. They created the new RK-model with the so-called "Dog Syndrome", which is a reference to the phrase: Like owner, like dog. It's supposed to make the android work harmoniously with their owner. Gavin Reed hated androids before and even more after the revolution. If he gets the chance, he would shoot every single of them, because they are just machines causing trouble. All of a sudden, Fowler got him a new partner for solving the case: people seem to disappear without any hind. Are the androids behind it? --- Updates on Mondays --- The Detroit police department in 2039 is a strange place. Outbreaks of Deviancy within the everyday android are turning this town rampant; and is turning the police department into a war zone. A hard-boiled eccentric police lieutenant, and his android, RK800 companion are no longer able to keep up with the cases by themselves, and request an additional partner. Everyone in the police department are already over loaded, so CyberLife creates a in-the-works android, developed by Elijah Kamski to investigate, analyze, and problem solve. And it's name is "Sean." A 16 -13 -1. Hank and Connor greet their partner with stress, and demands of perfection. Due to Sean being a project started by Kamski, there are somethings that set him apart from the normal android. There are multiple parts to his "mind" that come to serve his partners. Sean's primary directive is to serve, and assist these two in their investigations, but something deep inside of him has other plans. As Sean breaks from what he was made to do, he has to really find out what he is made of, and what he is going to do with it. ----- DISCLAMER: I highly recommend watching, or playing Detroit: Become Human before reading. The Replacement - Detroit: Become Human
I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. He doesn't want it to be true that he's deviant but he is. A little while into just becoming deviant, the revolution is over, he gets pulled back into the zen garden. Where he meets his replacement. He isn't scared per se, but he isn't happy about it. So why is rk900 trying so hard to be likeable? He's a gloater, a big ego and a machine. Why doesn't he know that he can't be good at everything. Gavin Reed is seriously over worked, and finding it hard to cope in these new integrated times. It's no secret he hasn't been the same for the last couple years. Angry, bitter, resentful and on the edge of a mental breakdown. He's struggling to cope as Connor takes it upon himself to knock his walls down and throw his comfortable belief system into question. How the hell is he supposed to do his job if he starts seeing these smashed up robots as people? A chance encounter at Cyberlife leaves him with even more than he bargained for as he's forced to work with a new partner. Over time he slowly decides that maybe the RK900 isn't so bad. Anything more than that? Hell no. Not Gavin Reed. No way. Meanwhile it seems an old adversary of Reed's has come back to haunt him. Or has he? That's what Perkins needs his help to find out as the FBI takes on an old serial case. That doesn't mean Reed isn't busy at the DPD. [Connor x Android!Reader] Detroit is having a problem with their androids, they are attacking their owners; Deviants is what they have been called. Cyberlife is desperate, they are afraid that having just one Deviant hunter on the case isn't enough. So they made a new series, RX400 model. It's a prototype just like RK800, but with more experimenting features. Now that both their Deviant Hunters are out there trying to solve the mystery, Cyberlife never expected the two to deviate themselves. (I do not own anything about the DBH, I just inserted another Android where I thought would be fitting. Plus I felt like Wattpad didn't have enough Android readers, so ta-da. Enjoy!)Concluida
