Just a precursor note: If we've never met before, Hi, my name is Allen Gilliland and I post under the handle TheDevilsTrick on DeviantArt. In addition to my drawings, and pitiful attempts at painting them, I also do a lot of writing, this includes stories I've made up (My current series is called Ichabod Crowley, which you can read the entire first book here on Wattpad or read ahead in the next one on DeviantArt) as well as reviews and editorials I've posted on the DeviantArt Forum over the years. What you will be seeing here is a collection of reviews from my second year as a reviewer and I do so hope you enjoy it.
Ah yes, year 2, it's hard for me not to be nostalgic about it, I was actually in a really good place when I wrote most of these and, in addition, it's really where I started to find my balance as a reviewer. I like to think that I speak mostly from the heart, but, during year two, I feel like I got better at conveying those feelings, and this is where some of my best work landed. A lot of my lists, I find myself very proud of. It was the first year I did an 'All but the Filler' editorial, my first Harem February and, in addition, there were just a lot of great movies that came out that year (Bad Kids of Crestview Academy, Death Race 2050, Mythica, the Digimon tri. Series, Thor Ragnarok). Well, I'm just gushing at this point, suffice it to say, I met some great people, had some wonderful conversations, and I hope you enjoy reading these reviews as much as I enjoyed writing them. Take care of yourself, and have a nice day.
