I lift my hand, holding my pistol to his chest, hovering over his heart. He stares at me, emotions spilling out of him. Emotions I can't decipher. He leans closer, the tip of the barrel pressing into his skin, just above his heart. "Do it," he whispers, inches from my face. I hold his gaze, while his hands snake under my shirt, grazing my skin. "I dare you," he lowers his voice, so gently, "Shoot me." My finger curls around the trigger, an inch from pulling it. I glare into his eyes, "You're a fucking monster," I whisper. He nods, "I know." "You kill without remorse," I spit. "I know." "I hate you," My finger screams at me to pull the trigger. "I know." "I'm disgusted by you." "I know," he inhales, letting his forehead rest against mine. His gaze falls to my lips, "If you want me dead, then kill me, pull the trigger." - It's no longer a question. My morals are gone, leaving nothing but a monstrous killing machine. Any hope for some sort of sympathy, some regard for life is nonexistent. I want death. I want to be the bringer of death, and the essence of slaughter. - Rhea Windsor, the newest ruler of Ovantasa after her parents- the former king and queen were assassinated. Her mind is in the pits of despair guided by vengeance, leaving nothing but a body of handcrafted slaughter and within that madness, she comes across a man made for killing. The ruthless killer known as Elijah Anton, who forces her to turn her back on her morals and grip on sanity. What happens when she realizes she wasn't as innocent as she thought and teeters on a heart of purity and blinding hate? "How do you feel now, Morgan?" She says, more pointing something out than asking a question. She grabs hold of my wrists and tightens them. If I could see properly I could swear I see them turn purple. "I could beat you to the bone, right here, right now, till you die from your injuries. But, I won't. You will die. Maybe not today, maybe not in a month, but you will." Well, obviously I'm going to die. Humans don't live forever. "Wonder why?" "No, and I really don't care." She answers anyway. "Because we have the power, the people, and the weapons to do it. Face it, you're defenseless against us." I feel some blood flooding my mouth, so I, being a perfectly nice person, spit it in her face. That doesn't faze her at all. "I have the strength and intelligence, something you clearly don't have. Whatever y'all do to me, it won't break me. I will put up a hell of a fight before losing. I will fight, and I will win." I turn over and look at her fellow companions. "Even if I die doing it." "Is that a risk you're willing to take?" ____________________________________ 17 year old Morgan Peters is an average girl living life. The Not So Perfect Love Story

44 parts Complete Mature

It was the perfect and simple love story. But perfection is an illusion and life is not simple. Charlotte Maria Scott and James River Knight had known each other all their lives. Their grandfathers were friends and business partners, their fathers were best friends, and their mothers became 'sisters from another mother'(s) soon after they met each other. The two of them grew up together as best friends from the diaper days and eventually fell in love. But what happens when five years into dating and James leaves Charlotte; blaming her of things she'd never do. What happens when their best friends are thrown into the mix and end up having to pick sides? What happens when, four years after the break up, James comes back and apologizes and Charlotte's let in on secrets that everyone but her seems to know? Two men, two women and a couple broken hearts. This is a love story, and it is anything but perfect and simple. ~~~~~ This story contains mildly mature scenes, reader discretion is advised. This story also mentions triggering subjects like anxiety and guilt issues along with deep rooted insecurities.
