Alola to a New Journey!
Basically, a typical betrayal story...without a betrayal, so to speak. Basically, Ash's pals think it is time to try something new. His Kalos league run got everyone so excited, only for Ash to lose. They started to wonder if a Master is the right way for him to go. Disappointed that his friends lost their faith, Ash sets of to Alola, hoping to clear his mind. When a brand new League is announced to be opened, Ash takes a chance on this opportunity to finally become a Champion, putting him one step closer to Master. This is going to be separate from canon, with some similarities. This is not going to have Ash catching a bunch of Legendarys, or using the whole ''Aura" thing, It's just good old Ash, on a good old adventure. I will include Meloetta, since it's my personal favorite Mythical Pokemon, and Ash will catch Poipole / Naganadel. I dont think I will include Melmetal in Ash's team, for a reason you'll see further in. But Meloetta wont be caught, it's kind of just along for the ride. :) Team Rocket, our loveable trio of dorks, is still a loveable trio of dorks, they just, aren't part of Rocket anymore. They are now members of Team Cook. Yep, they're cooks now. And maybe also a guest appearance from a fan favorite Ninja Amphibian? Anyways, this is my first story with a main ship, too: Aureliashipping.(Ash x Lillie) It wont be the main focus, but I will include a few moments to hopefully please the crowd. That's about it. Q - Is this story based on Pokemon Red or FireRed? A - The story has a few iconic moments from the games/manga but those events do not play a big part in the main story arc. Q - Is Ash Ketchum in it? A - The story takes place in its own universe. I try to bring some events from the games, the manga, and the anime. You get to see a different version of Ash Ketchum (close to how he has been depicted in the anime) in 2 chapters of this book. Q - Is Team Rocket the same as in the anime? A - While Cassidy and Butch are characters from the anime, they have a different overall character arc than in the anime. Team Rocket is darker than in any previous versions and has a purpose and a plan other than stealing. Giovanni's plan plays out slowly in the course of three books. Q - It has time travel? A - It does, time travel is hinted at in the first book with the actual "time traveling" in the second book. Q - "I hope the protagonist has a father, hahaha" A - Yes, he does.
