The theme of this poem surrounds depression, burnout and mental exhaustion.
Sometimes in life we feel hopeless, we don't see have any control, or any hope hope that we will get control. All our dreams seem out of reach, and we seem so disconnected from everything. Sometimes the best way to reach out of this hole is to write about it, and when you look back at it. You won't want to feel like that. Being vulnerable doesn't make you weak, to not be afraid to show your vulnerability is brave.
